We are hosting some Wildcats sessions which are girls only drop-in football sessions:


  • girls only;
  • primary school age;

  • non-competitive football for girls who want to give it a go for the very first time or want to play with other girls their own age;

  • all about having loads of fun;

  • £2 per player per session;
  • delivered by FA qualified coaches and volunteers.


What to expect


All sessions will be fun and friendly. We will provide imaginative exercises and drills that build the girls confidence and skills through drills and games.


When


We will run the sessions from 10:00 to 11:00 on the following days:


  • Saturday 07-Sep-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 14-Sep-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 21-Sep-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 28-Sep-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 05-Oct-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 12-Oct-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 19-Oct-24 - Fords Green;
  • Saturday 09-Nov-24 - Cumnor House School sports hall;
  • Saturday 16-Nov-24 - Cumnor House School sports hall;
  • Saturday 23-Nov-24 - Cumnor House School sports hall;
  • Saturday 07-Dec-24 - Cumnor House School sports hall;
  • Saturday 14-Dec-24 - Cumnor House School sports hall.


Where


Sessions will be held either at Fords Green, Nutley, TN22 3LH, or Cumnor House School sports hall, RH17 7HT.

What do you need to bring


For your first session, just simply turn up with suitable clothing/footwear (sessions are held on grass) and a water bottle. We have a selection of small to large shinpads to loan for those new to the sport. If your child has great fun and wants to come back (which we hope she will!), then you will need to purchase your own shin pads for future sessions.


Cost


Our club is a not for profit organisation and is completely staffed by volunteers. Unfortunately we do have running costs. We also want to be able to continue to invest in our football provision. Therefore, we are charging £2 per session. However, we don't want to cost to be a barrier to participation and if you cannot afford to pay then you do not have to.

The coaches


All coaches have to be DBS checked and to have completed FA courses in Safeguarding Children and either Playmaker or Introduction to Coaching Football. All our coaches meet these standards, have years of experience in coaching children football and are volunteers. Please see our Backroom page for more details of the volunteers behind the club.


We really want to grow girls football and need more coaches to do so. If you fancy this extremely rewarding role then please get in touch with Ben Scott (secretary@nutleyfc.co.uk) or Gavin Paisley (chair@nutleyfc.co.uk). We will of course provide lots of support and pay for your FA training.
